TiE Toronto is fostering entrepreneurship in Ontario

We aim to create wealth and raise the prominence of entrepreneurs in the local community, as well as internationally, by fostering and supporting entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Through its activities and influences. We count for the largest pool of intellectual capital and bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policy makers and professional service providers with the objective of enhancing entrepreneurial climate.

TiE Toronto offers a variety of events to promote entrepreneurship in Ontario

TiEQuest Business Venture Competition
Over 200 entrepreneurs participate in TiEQuest every year. The contestants include existing and emerging entrepreneurs, patent holders and university students. The contestants get opportunities to present to angel investors, venture capitalists and fund managers. TiEQuest offers prizes totaling over $150,000 including prizes for the best IP, best Clean Tech venture, best healthcare venture and best student venture. In addition, winner receives an Expression of Interest for a $1,000,000 investment from sponsors.

TiE Mentoring
TiE charter members of TiE include successful entrepreneurs and business leaders who have committed to devote their time to nurture entrepreneurship to new and aspiring entrepreneurs.

TiE Institute
TiE Institute offers education programs, seminars and conferences to aspiring entrepreneurs. The sessions are conducted through a combination of online and off-line programs and feature successful entrepreneurs and professors of leading universities.

TiE Entrepreneurial Forum
TiE Toronto invites well known speakers monthly to address on various challenges faced by entrepreneurs. These events provide tremendous opportunities for networking.

TiE Breakfast - India Initiatives
TiE Toronto organizes a breakfast seminar on Doing Business in India every month in collaboration with the Consulate General of India. We invite companies that have succeeded in this fast growing emerging market to share their experiences with other entrepreneurs. We also invite business leaders from India with specific expertise in legal, regulatory, commercial and cultural issues.
